Living a Healthy Lifestyle || ft. Missabbeynoelle

Well, we are now in the month of May which means summer is just around the corner! There's no better time than now to break out those running shoes and hit the gym. But sometimes we need a little motivation and inspiration. So I teamed up Abbey from Miss Abbey Noelle to bring you a post on healthy tips for warmer weather. So without further ado let's get into the post!

"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
1 Corinthians 10:31

Grapefruit Sunrise
This can be eaten as a dessert or for a refreshing breakfast as I like to eat it.

Juice of 2 grapefruits
Juice of 4 oranges
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
2 tsp honey
Sections from 1 grapefruit
1/2 cup sliced strawberries

1. Place grapefruit juice, orange juice, 1 cup strawberries, and honey in blender and blend until smooth.
2. Strain into 2 chilled glasses.
3. Top with grapefruit sections and sliced strawberries.

Chill the fruit first for cold juice or add some ice cubes while blending.

Easy Turkey Wrap
These little wraps are so perfect for light summer lunches. Plus they are super easy to assemble.

1 tortilla
Cream cheese or hummus
Dried cranberries
Sliced provolone cheese or whatever cheese you like
3 slices roast turkey
4 thinly sliced cucumber pieces
Romaine lettuce

Spread about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese or hummus on a tortilla, spreading to within a 1/4 inch of the edge of the tortilla. Sprinkle tortilla with a 1/4 cup dried cranberries then lay cheese, turkey, cucumber and lettuce on top.  Roll each tortilla up tightly or fold in half like a quesadilla.

This can be done with a variety of ingredients, such as tomatoes, avocados as well as salmon, or chicken. Really anything you want!

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own: you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body."
 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Now that we covered some great food options lets get into the nitty gritty of working out.

Buying cute athletic clothes gets me motivated and makes me want to workout more. LuLuLemon and Lorna Jane are great places to get work out clothes, but since they are a little spendy GAP and Target are great options to get equally as cute gear for less. Below are a couple of really cute workout wear options.

Not only does exercising and eating healthy lift your mood, builds self-esteem, reduces stress, and keeps your body fit and able, but by staying fit it honors the body that God gave you. It is your way of saying thank you. It's true that we should embrace whatever size or shape we are, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't work towards a healthier lifestyle. It just means we shouldn't try to compare our size with others. We owe it to ourselves to get into a healthy shape and lifestyle. You don't have to go over the top or be a crazy health fanatic, you just need to stay positive and do a little something everyday that will eventually get you to where you want to be.
Here are a couple great workouts that you could try: Body Slimming, Arms, Legs!

Also, make sure to check out Abbey's collab post for some more tips!
